Liverpool Chiropractic and Sports Injury Clinic, Dr Alex Eatly enjoyed World Sports Games in Italy.
Liverpool Chiropractor and Sports Injury Specialist Dr Alex Eatly had the opportunity to use his experience and knowledge at the 2015 World Sports Games in Lignano, Italy.
Alex was selected to be part of the medical staff for the June 7-14 Olympic-style sports festival and put in long, but rewarding, days. His venues included the main medical centre, tennis and swimming.
Around 5 thousand people from 33 Countries took part in 14 official international competitions, from football to swimming, from athletics to wrestling and to beach volleyball. All participants were hosted for a week in LignanoSabbiadoro, Italy where accommodation and sports facilities were ready to create the atmosphere of the Olympic Style Village.
‘It was a fantastic experience working as part of the sports injury medical team and supporting all the athletes at this event. There was a mixture of chiropractors from all around the world, USA, UK, Italy, Australia, Germany and so on. It was great to see the different styles of treatment for sports injuries that many of us see at our sports injury clinics back home.’
